I picked this up and went through it before I had my computer with Windows 8. It made NO sense. I'm one of those people who are very hands on.
However, I reopened the book once I had my computer for two days. I was amazed at how much more sense it made. I was able to personalize my computer in ways I never knew existed. I learned loads of shortcuts.
Best of all, I have it in my Kindle on my laptop, and as I encounter the different suggestions, I can put them into play.
I have a touchscreen laptop, but use the mouse a lot, so I very much appreciate having both the touch and mouse options! Learned a lot, and glad I picked this up.
Very fun, very nice.

I gave tis little tutorial 5 stars because it gives you just enough to get started with Windows 8, which is the author's intention. The author is clearly an expert and knows how to provide the information a basic user needs to get started and then moves into more advanced needs. I used this to help me get past the initial frustration I felt when opening Windows 8 for the first time. The dollar I spent on the book was well worth the information I received. Having it on the Kindle was nice also as I could place the Kindle next to the computer and practice the tips the author provides.
